Solar Farm with Meta Platforms PPA Breaks Ground in Idaho
September 15, 2023–Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)–Matrix Renewables (Madrid, Spain) and rPlus Energies (Salt Lake City, Utah) this week broke ground on a new solar power facility in Idaho. When completed, the plant will be the largest solar farm in Idaho Power’s (Boise, Idaho) service territory. Facebook parent Meta Platforms Incorporated (NASDAQ:META) (Menlo Park, California) has signed a power purchase agreement for the facility’s output, which will go toward powering one of the company’s data centers that is under construction nearby.
