U.S. Sees Record Solar Panel Shipments in 2022
August 30, 2023–Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)–U.S. shipments of solar modules rose to a record 31.7 million kilowatts in 2022, up 10% from the previous record of 28.8 million kilowatts in 2021, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) latest Annual Photovoltaic Module Shipments Report. The shipments include imports, exports and domestically produced and shipped panels. According to the EIA, about 88% of the shipped panels were imports, primarily from Asia.
